So then, this is the new all singing all dancing Fat Lamb web site. Probably long overdue I admit, the old one was getting fairly long in the tooth and certain parts were embarrassingly out of date. This new site has a lot of improvements - chief of which is a remarkably simple editing feature which allows even a computer illiterate to amend and update content and even pictures – all by myself. So, no excuses now for old news and dated photographs.

This particular bit is my sort of personal sounding board which I understand is called my Blog. What does that mean exactly – Blog – I mean who dreamt that one up, is it an acronym perhaps?? – big load of garbage – badly laid out gibberish – bit like old gobbledygook. It’s just one of a growing number of words that I don’t fully understand, words that leave me with that vague uneasy feeling that I’m not quite seeing the full picture, because, I suspect, I’m not meant to. Blogs, face books, YouTube, twitter – it’s all techno-babble designed to confuse old fogey’s like me – and just so the computer geek generation can demonstrate how clever they are, I reckon.

what a beautyEnough of that. A quick resume of  Fat Lamb matters and what’s coming up. Easter has been and gone, and what a glorious weekend it was, sunshine, cloudless skies and soaring temperatures were just what was needed to get the season off to a good start. The, now traditional, Historic Commercial Vehicle Rally in Kirkby Stephen brought out the crowds – all enjoying the fine weather, the exhibits and the free rides between the various sites.

Our next big event is the Sporting Bears Car Club weekend towards the end of the month. The Bears are a charitable car club who use their cars to raise money for children’s charities. I will be out with the Healey, and along with some of the other older marques within the club, showing the more modern car owners how it should be done.

May-Day Bank holiday weekend is already fully booked, but we still have a few rooms left for the Spring Bank Holiday at the end of the month. Let’s hope the weather continues to be kind to us, and we can continue to escape the general doom and gloom that’s currently affecting the country.
