The Fat Lamb Country Inn lies on the crossroads of Ravenstonedale, Sedbergh and Kirkby Stephen, offering high quality bed and breakfast accommodation and good food midway between the Lakes and Dales.

Situated between the National Parks of the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales, this friendly 4 star inn makes a superb base for exploring into these two popular holiday areas, or the lesser known North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The scenery all around the Fat Lamb is quite simply fantastic, and very varied. The differing characters of the Dales on one side and the Howgills on the other make this an excellent base for countryside lovers and walkers (both serious hikers and those just out for a gentle ramble).

  Didn't get a chance to say thank you for an enjoyable weekend, lived up to everything we had read about the fat lamb - will be back soon and will recommend you to all our friends and family. Tom & ina McWhirter.

  We enjoyed our stay and thought the food was very good, the staff extremely helpful and found the place nice and clean all through. Loved the large fireplace and the roaring fire. We hope to return, now we've found where it is. Deryck and Gillian Morley

  Just back from a midweek groupon break at The Fat Lamb and have got to say it was the best value we have ever had from this type of deal.The room was lovely (although a bit on the small side) the bed was very comfy and the bathroom was refurbished to a high standard. We enjoyed very tasty evening meals and the brekkie was also very good. Log fire in the bar and a lovely pint of a Black Sheep (well several actually) friendly staff and beautiful views will certainly return to this  well run wonderful establishment. Brian Watson.

  We really enjoyed our short stay with you. The room was lovely and spacious enough to fit an extra large cage in for our 2 dogs. They loved the attention from the friendly staff and in particular the coal fire! We didn't bother eating out because the food was excellent at the Fat Lamb. Many thanks to everyone.   25th March

  We picked the coldest weekend known to man, (23 March 2013) but the Fat Lamb experience was great, lovely real fire in the bar, nice rooms with a comfy bed and all the normal creature comforts and very helpful staff. Our evening meal was top class. All in all a great place to visit and in a good location. We'll visit again, hopefully when it's a bit warmer outside!! Les Wright.
