The Fat Lamb Country Inn is situated between the market towns of Sedbergh and Kirkby Stephen just south of the picturesque village of Ravenstonedale. We offer high quality bed and breakfast accommodation, exceptionally good food and a warm friendly welcome.
Situated in the Yorkshire Dales National Park and a short drive from the Lake District, this traditional 4 star inn makes a superb base for exploring these two popular holiday areas, or the lesser known North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The scenery all around the Fat Lamb is quite simply spectacular, and very varied. The differing characters of the Dales on one side and the Howgills on the other make this an excellent base for countryside lovers and walkers (both serious hikers and those just out for a gentle ramble).
I would just like to say that the 9 of us from The Austin Healey Club, Yorkshire thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at The Fat Lamb and were looked after very well by all the staff who had contact with us.
We enjoyed what was a lovely drive and excellent hospitality.

Thank you for the friendly welcome and great service we received last Sunday.
We had completed a long and very wet walk in Bowderdale and turned up at the pub hoping for refreshments. We were very well received and the hot tea and scones were just what we needed.
