Whether it’s an intimate afternoon tea for just half a dozen people or a full blown wedding reception for a hundred or more guests, the Fat Lamb can provide the perfect setting for your special occasion.
We can seat up to sixty people in our restaurant with a formal or informal seating plan, our bar can seat another sixty people informally, whilst our smaller snug room can seat up to sixteen people for intimate private dining.
For larger numbers we can arrange for a marquee in the garden to the rear of the property. This is linked through to the bar area with a covered walkway so there is a seamless transition from the main building out to the marquee which comes complete with inner lining, chandeliers, a carpeted hard floor with dance floor section and space heating.
Your menu is tailored to your own requirements and we can offer anything from a full five course meal to a lavish hot and cold buffet or even a hog roast.
We can also arrange entertainment for your guests and have previously booked Jazz Combo’s, Caribbean Steel Bands, Solo Artists and Rock Bands for our clients.

I would just like to say that the 9 of us from The Austin Healey Club, Yorkshire thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at The Fat Lamb and were looked after very well by all the staff who had contact with us.
We enjoyed what was a lovely drive and excellent hospitality.

Thank you for the friendly welcome and great service we received last Sunday.
We had completed a long and very wet walk in Bowderdale and turned up at the pub hoping for refreshments. We were very well received and the hot tea and scones were just what we needed.
