Walking Parties
The Fat Lamb has long been popular with rambling groups and walking clubs, and many return year after year. We can offer guidance and advice on routes in the local area, arrange taxis or buses to assist at the start or end of your walk and provide a guide to accompany you should you need it.
We have drying facilities, can provide packed lunches, and of course are always happy to provide plenty of hot tea and coffee, cold beer, and delicious hot food once back at the Fat Lamb.
Special ‘group rates’ apply if you take nine or more rooms but smaller groups often benefit from a discounted rate particularly at quieter times of year.
I would just like to say that the 9 of us from The Austin Healey Club, Yorkshire thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at The Fat Lamb and were looked after very well by all the staff who had contact with us.
We enjoyed what was a lovely drive and excellent hospitality.

Thank you for the friendly welcome and great service we received last Sunday.
We had completed a long and very wet walk in Bowderdale and turned up at the pub hoping for refreshments. We were very well received and the hot tea and scones were just what we needed.
