Tariff Fat Lamb

Family room price quoted is an example only - other rates would apply depending upon the number and ages of children (under 6 go free, 6 to 12 year olds are charged at £13.00 per night, and 13 to 16 year olds are charged at £26.00 per night). We can accommodate up to three children in a room sharing with their parents. Please contact us for a price if you are unsure.

Evening meal is comprised of four courses from our table d'hote menu, changed daily.

A full range of bar meals and snacks are also available for a less formal dining experience.

We are a dog friendly hotel, and we go to extra effort to ensure we maintain our high standard of housekeeping when dogs have visited. There is a £10 surcharge per dog per stay (not per night) to cover the cost of this - please check our guidelines if you wish to bring your dog.

Special rates are available for party bookings such as walking groups, family gatherings, club reunions or business hospitality, so please get in touch to enquire. We are also able to cater for wedding receptions, buffets and small conferences or meetings. Go to our groups and functions page or call us on 015396 23242 to discuss your requirements.

You’re going to be hearing a lot more from Mally and Freddy, our super friendly management couple down at the Kings Arms – they run the show down there and have been doing a great job of it. It also seems talent runs in the family! Mally’s sister came to visit a while back, and did these lovely sketches of Temple Sowerby – including our beautiful old Kings Arms! We’re so pleased with them we’re going to try to use them on the new menu (we’ll keep you posted on that).
  • Mike & Paul's Dessert Tour (Feb 2013)
The next few years will see the Fat Lamb (and our sister establishment the Kings Arms at Temple Sowerby) gently coaxed along towards a brighter future. Not that there’s anything wrong with the present, but the times they are a-changing. We’ll be thinking about ways to make both inns as lovely for our customers in the years to come as they have been for everyone who stayed with us over the last few decades. Obviously, we couldn’t just launch into this without a thorough review of the marketplace, so OF COURSE we had to embark on a full research expedition – ”The Dessert Tour”...
